It's leg and booty day people! Work those gluteous medius muscles as well as your legs with this two-speed bowler lunge sequence demonstrated in the video below. You're going to feel the burn, but this is a great addition to various squats and lunges. You can't expect to get the best results by only doing basic squats or lunges. Those moves only work some of your muscles. Changing it up, works the ones that are missed. =)

There's nothing worse than being on a "diet" and feeling deprived from things that taste good. In fact, don't you find that it seems to set you up to fail. Who can go that long without fighting those cravings for something sweet now and then, or a big old burger, because darn it, they taste good! I don't know about you, but when I start craving something, I'll either eat too much of everything else because I'm trying to avoid something, or I eat what I'm craving. Trust me, both ways are not the greatest when we're trying to lose weight.
Your best bet is to try to find healthy substitutes for the things that you're craving that will be equally satisfying when you eat them, but will also be withing your calorie budget and have a higher nutritional value. For example, if you're craving a burger, then make homemade ones! Use whole wheat buns, extra lean ground beef or turkey (smaller patty), skip the mayo and cheese, and load it with lots of veggies! Mine are so huge I have to squish them down and still can't fit them in my mouth, and I still am able to stay on track with my calorie budget.
The image above is another great example of a healthy stand-in for an unhealthy treat. A Greek yogurt snack that is so freakin' good, it actually satisfies an ice cream craving. Imagine that! A snack that can fit in your calorie budget, keep your body fueled for a good couple of hours, and tastes as good as, if not better than, ice cream.
Healthy food isn't as boring as you'd think, you just need to learn to be a bit more creative. Keep an open mind and try it. After all, you eat what you crave and you crave what you eat. It's a cycle that can either be a good thing or a bad thing. The more healthy substitutes for your favorite foods that you have, the healthier you will eat. You will get used to how good you feel and how much you enjoyed it, as well as the progress you make in your weight loss journey.

Work your entire body and core when doing this intense but quick workout. It's not as difficult to talk yourself into taking ONE MINUTE out of your day to do something that makes you stronger. You don't have to be fit or do it perfectly, you just have to make an effort and do YOUR best.

There are other muscles in your rear end that need attention too, not just the gluteous maximus. This focuses on the sides of your butt where your gluteous medius muscles live. When you work those you are able to sculpt your butt even better!

You'll get lots accomplished in one minute when you do this crazy outer thigh workout demonstrated in the video below! When you're in a side plank, even if it's modified, and then you add leg lifts to the mix, you're working everything, not to mention you're sculpting your thighs.
I don't know about you, but I find that our inner and outer thighs get neglected in a lot of workouts. That's why it's important to do them a couple of times a week. Whether you do this on it's own, or you add it to an existing workout, you're still making progress.

Most of the time when we try to do workouts that target the our bum bums, we end up doing various squats. That's great for a lift, as squats work the gluteus Maximus muscles which are the biggest, more centrally located muscles of each cheek.
While that's important, we still need to sculpt the other areas of our butts, such as the gluteus medius muscles, located at the sides of each cheek. This are gets less attention, but is definitely important when you're trying to sculpt your butt!
Try doing one minute on each side, and you'll feel the burn! I did mine today, and oh LAWD! It was challenging. I already feel it and so I know it's going to be a tender area tomorrow!
#these minutes may only be a minute, but they ARE doing something! They are making your stronger by the minute.
